First you should search your hard drive(s) for those missing files. You may not have all the required dll and ocx files on your current system for your VB6 program if you also got error messages in the XP virtual machine. That’s why many 32-bit VB6 programs can still run on 64-bit systems. Most OCXs that worked on 32-bit OS will work on a 64-bit OS as long as they can be installed correctly. The setup will install the ocx and dll in correct folders. ![]() You need to rebuild the VB6 project on your 64-bit system especially you switch to Office 2010 or you can build a setup program on the 32-bit system and then run the setup program on your 64-bit system if you don’t use any dll/ocx from Office 2010 products. You cannot just have a copy of exe file from your 32-bit system and port to your 64-bit system.
